Spring is finally here…sort of!
I’m sure everyone is just like me and is looking forward to finally being able to get outside and enjoy the weather. Being stuck in the studio for the past 7 months I cannot wait to get outside and start doing more sessions outdoors!
Just a quick reminder about outdoor sessions. Because of lighting, outdoor sessions are best in the early evening (6:30ish) or first thing in the morning (8ish). The downside to morning sessions in the spring is that you may have the wet morning grass to deal with, but it is cooler on those hot humid summer days. Mornings are definitely better for those with young kids who maybe are starting to get tired and won’t be very cooperative for a session in the early evening. You know your kids best!
With the summer months come kids activities, events, vacations, weddings, etc. I realize that we all have hectic schedules and will try my very best to work with you. Keep in mind that weekend sessions book sooner than weekday sessions, so if you know you will be wanting/needing a weekend session it would be better to book something sooner rather than later. My Saturday’s in June are almost booked and I’m sure Sunday’s will be soon to follow.
Summer is a great time to do family pictures for Christmas Card pictures as well. How great would it feel to have the annual Christmas Card session to be done months in advance!
Mini-Sessions- In January I started offering mini sessions and they have been very popular! A mini session is $107 (including tax) and includes a 20-30 minute session and a CD including 8-10 fully edited images with a print release. These sessions are perfect if you just need a few great pictures and don’t need multiple clothing or background changes. These can be outdoor or studio sessions. Because of the extra potential time involved these are not available for children under 6 months or family sessions.
Frames-A few months ago I became a vendor for a company called The Organic Bloom. They make faboulous frames! If you are like me and afraid of color in your house these make a great addition to your home décor! They also have a Facebook page where you can see more styles/color. If you have been to the studio lately you have seen these frames going up my stairwayJ
Let me know if you have any questions or would like to set up a session!
