Mr. S had his 2 year session yesterday. It is hard to believe that he is 2 already! I've said it before but I think that 2 is the hardest age. They definitely have a mind of their own and they don't stay in one spot for longer than 10 seconds so the parents and I spend most of the time just chasing them around! That's alright...I can stand to burn a few extra calories :) Enjoy your sneak peak!

I was able to help out with another wedding with Elizabeth Somes Images this weekend. I'm really starting to like this wedding thing:) Here are a few of my favorites!! Click image for a larger version!
I photographed Miss M again over the weekend. When we first got started I was super surprised how well she was doing. She would stop and smile and pose all on her own for me! Most 2 year old don't do that. At 2 you have to chase them around and hope you get more than just a flash in front of the camera. She ended up being a regular 2 year old after about 15 minutes...but hey, sometimes all you need is 15 minutes to get some great shots!!
I'm sure it's just because he is mine, but how cute is Drew! He has been asking for a mohawk. If we weren't going on vacation in a few weeks I might consider letting him...so instead he got a fauxhawk. He keeps asking me if he looks like a real rock star now:)
For some reason all of my pictures on the blog aren't looking very sharp. If you click on the picture it will bring up a nice sharp version of it. I'm not sure what the issue is. I can assure you that my images are not out of focus!!
I photographed ADROABLE Miss A at the Butterworth Center in Moline on Saturday. I was worried that since it had stormed the night before that it would be a muddy mess, but it was surprisingly dry. A's mom warned me before we met that she had a fear of cameras and that they haven't had a professional photo of her since she was 6 months old because she was just scared to death of them. I hoped that since we were outdoors it would make her feel more comfortable being able to run around and explore. She was a bit shy at first and I was worried that it wasn't going to work out but she ended up doing great:)
I had the opportunity last weekend to shadow a wedding with Jennifer from Elizabeth Somes Images. I hope to start 2nd shooting with Jennifer once I shadow a few more weddings! This was my first wedding and I have to say I was pretty nervous being behind the scenes for a wedding of a couple I didn't know. As the day/night went on I felt more and more comfortable and learned a ton! I am going to shadow Elizabeth for a wedding in July and I'm looking forward to applying what I learned from this past wedding:) Here is a small sampling of what I captured that day.
We did Miss M's 9 month pictures this morning before the huge storm this afternoon hit. She did such a great job. She wasn't very excited to have her pictures taken at first but near the end of the session was giving me some HUGE smiles thanks to her mom:) Enjoy your sneak peak!
