Mini Sessions {Quad Cities Photographer}
In January I added a new session option, a mini-session. A mini-session is 20-30 minutes in length and includes one background/outfit. The cost is $100 and includes a CD of all of the images from your gallery (usually 10+ images). Mini-sessions can be outdoors or in studio.
There are just a couple of rules for the mini-session. It is not available for babies under 6 months or for families. Why? For families it takes a little longer to get people into poses and takes longer to get shots where EVERYONE is looking at the camera…. especially if you have young children. Babies under 6 months sometimes need to take short breaks for feedings and since the session is so short there just isn’t time.
If you think your child will need a few extra minutes to warm up to the camera or if you want multiple outfit changes the mini-session probably isn’t a good option for you. But, if your child isn’t shy and you just want a handful of good pictures or if you need some pictures for Grandma’s birthday, this option would be perfect for you!
If you have any questions please feel free to email!
1st Valentine's Day {Baby Photographer Quad Cities}
I think that this little stinker just knows when it is time to have pictures taken and decides she doesn't want to go to sleep. This is the 2nd time I have photographed this cutie and both times she fights sleeping. FINALLY at the end of the session we were able to get her to sleep so we could get the one pose with the candy hearts that mom really wanted.

Fab 4th Birthday {Photography in the Quad Cities}
How fabulous is this birthday party! I wish my mom had put 1/4 of thought and effort into my birthday parties as a kid! Her mom didn't miss a single detail from the monogramed teacups to the feather boas. I think she has found a new profession in party planning!

Designer Frames {Quad Cities Photographer}
I am so excited to announce that I am now a vendor for Organic Bloom Frames! How cool are these frames. They come in a ton of different shapes and colors. I love that they are unique yet modern and not something that everyone is going to have. Your friends are going to be so jealous when they see these frames on your walls!
If you have been to my house, you know that I'm afraid of color! Everything is beige. This was a little way for me to get some color into my house without feeling like I was going to be stuck with it forever like I would be with a lime green couch!
If you are interested in pricing send me an email! Kristin@kristingeertsphotography.com Frames take 2-3 weeks to order.

7 day old {Newborn Photography Quad Cities}
The last time I saw this family their little girl was just turning one. It really is crazy how fast they grow up! Now she is a big sister and this family of 3 just got a little bigger with the addition of "S". They had the most gorgeous light in their bedroom so we did a family picture there. I think that the family bed is my new favorite place for family pictures...especially with a newborn and a young child. It can be hard, if not impossible for the little ones to stay still and being in a place they feel more comfortable in their own house in instead of my studio I think helps a lot! Plus, me coming to new moms makes it MUCH easier on mom!
And this next one was a one in a million shot. If you asked me to recreate it I could never do it!

Miss "O" {Quad Cities Newborn Photography}
Meet 10 day old "O". I photographed this beautiful baby's entrance into the world earlier in the month. She was being a little stinker and and didn't want to miss what was going on and fought going to sleep. It took quite awhile to get her to doze off, but once she did she was very easy to work with. The waiting is what takes so long for newborn sessions. Once you get them to sleep we can be done in 45 minutes!

Here is my latest birth photography slideshow! This was such a great couple to work with and such a quick labor...for me at least. I'm sure the mom would have something else to say :)

Labor and Delivery Photography {Quad City Birth Photographer}
Have I ever mentioned what a great job I have! I am so lucky to have people invite me into the most private and important moments in their lives. I photographed the birth of baby "O" yesterday. Mom had a scheduled induction at Trinity in Moline. I got there at 11 just as active labor was beginning and she had the baby at 3:45!! Mom was so brave and had no epidural. You never know how strong you can be until you give birth. Enjoy your sneak peak. There are so many good ones it was hard to pick which ones to post!

Twins-One Year Old! {Quad Cities Baby Photographer}
I photographed these twins when they were about a week old. I can't believe they are a year old already. I had high hopes for the cake smash...but miss "R" wanted nothing to do with it. The picture of the cake tells the perfect story of how it went :(
Baby "J" {Quad Cities Newborn Photographer}
Meet Jack. I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of him on my blog in the next year. I had the pleasure of photographing his entrance into the world a couple of weeks ago. I went to his home to photograph his pictures when he was 5 days old and was there 2 hours and he was just not having it. So, he came to me a few days later. At first we didn't think it was going to work again...he was wide awake! But, after an hour or so we finally got him to sleep. And once he was asleep I worked quickly and got some great shots in about 20 minutes! These newborn sessions are so tough... It may take 3+ hours just to get them to sleep...but we got some great shots in the end :)

Twins turn one! {Quad Cities Baby Photographer}
What a great idea! I was hired to photograph these adorable twins 1st birthday party. How many times have you gotten done with a birthday party for your kids and realized that your camera is still sitting on the counter and you didn't take a single picture. It is impossible for a mom to do it all...hostess, mom, caterer, and photographer.
This was such a great party. It was a circus theme complete with a cotton candy machine, popcorn maker, slushy maker and a FABULOUS big top theme cake!

Labor and Delivery Photography {Quad City Birth Photographer}
I had the opportunity to photograph the labor and delivery of my friends 2nd child last week. It was a fairly quick labor and delivery compared to her 1st experience! I am so happy to be able to provide this to other parents! With everything that goes on during your laboring process you really forget the little things that happened and sometimes didn't even realize what was going on! Having a photographer there helps lessen the burden on Dad so he can focus on his wife rather than trying to remember to take pictures!
When people find out I do birth photography the first thing they always say is, "Why would you ever want to photograph that". But EVERY SINGLE person who watches it ends up in tears and says they wish they would have known this was available when they had their children and it was nothing like they expected.
Meet Jackson Alexander....
