Holiday Mini Sessions {Bettendorf Photographer}

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...well, not exactly!

I will be offering Holiday Mini Sessions in September and October. A mini session is a short, 20-30 minute session designed to get a few great images for your holiday cards and gifts. You will have the option of an outdoor session or a studio session.

This is a great time to book if a full session isn't in your budget this year, but you still want to send out great holiday cards to your friends and family.

Book by September 1st and you will receive an additional 8X10 for free! All holiday card orders MUST be placed by November 7th. If you would like to use a photo from a previous session this year you are more than welcome to!

Birthday Boy-{Photographer in the Quad Cities}

We did his cake smash session a few weeks ago, but mom wanted to do another session outdoors! His mom knew of a little courtyard right next door to her office, so we went there and also a park in Davenport. He isn't quite standing on his own yet, but that doesn't stop him from getting around=)

Kids Will Be Kids-Quad City Children's Photographer

My kids were playing on our bed this afternoon and I thought I'd get my camera out. I've realized recently that I don't take enough pictures of my own kids as much as I used to. Of course once the camera came out they weren't playing so cute anymore, but I did manage to get a few cute ones. And just to prove that my kids are just like everyone elses...sometime they just don't want to cooperate!!! FYI-this is how most of the pictures that I took today looked!

3 Months Old-Child Photographer in the Quad Cities

I photograped baby "H" this morning. As a mother, this was one of my favorite ages...when your child has their first smiles and you can start to see their personality emerging. As a photographer though, it is probably one of the toughest age groups to photograph since they can't sit on their own, yet you can't curl them up into any position and have the sleep the entire session like you would a newborn. His smiles were just so precious!! And you can tell how much he loves his mother already. The moment she moved out of eye sight you could just in his eyes that he looked sad...but as soon as he saw her again his entire face lit up!

8 days old-Newborn Photographer Quad Cities

I photographed 8 day old "H" this morning. He did SO well. The only time he cried was a the very end of the session and by that time I think everyone was ready to be done! You don't realize how tiring it can be sitting and waiting for a baby to fall asleep=) Being around such a perfect baby is really giving me baby fever(shh...don't tell my husband)! Enjoy your preview!

Cake Smash!-Quad Cities Photographer

"D" is having his 1st birthday in a couple of weeks. I photographed this little guy when he was 1 second old...I really can't believe he is just about a year old already! He wasn't to sure of what to think of the cake. It almost seemed like he knew that he wasn't supposed to be messy! He didn't really want to dig into it like some babies. He was very polite and just took little tiny bites...I LOVE doing cake smash sessions!! It's fun to see how different each baby will react to their first bite of pure sugar=) Hopefully the weather will hold out over the next couple of days and we'll be able to get an outdoor session in.

2 Years Old

I photographed this little guy over the weekend. He wanted NOTHING to do with the camera. He would be smiling, and the second he saw the camera his smile would disapear. I didn't think I was that scary=) I still managed to get a few good ones of him though. Maybe we can try some studio shots later in the month.

A little mini outdoor session

I took my son, Drew, out this morning at 7:30 for a little practice at backlighting. I probably should have gone out a half hour earlier. It was getting pretty bright and was HOT!!!

Kids

I wanted to try out a location with my kids again in hopes to get something canvas worthy for our house. Bought the outfits and got hair cuts in preperation...and they were TERRILBE. My daughter said she wasn't in the mood to smile that day and my son kept complaining that his cheeks were hurting from trying to smile. I did manage to get a few decent ones, although not what I had in mind. I should really post the outtakes just to prove how naughty they were! People comment when they see pictures of my kids and say that they must be great posers and love having their pictures taken. I think it is the exact opposite!

Brother and Sister

I photographed P and M this moring as part of my mini session special. We got a good bunch of pictures for only 30 minutes. The kids really did a great job!! Enjoy your preview/

Baby M First Birthday

Little M is just such a doll. We did a cake smash session for her first birthday and I'm so glad that we did. I think that they all turned out just great. Photographing the cake smash is one of my favorite things to photograph. I love seeing the reaction to their first taste of the sweet and sugary frosting!

D is 9 months old!

Baby "D" is 9 months old now. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. This is probably my favorite age group to photograph because they can sit by themselves, smile, and most importantly, aren't mobile!!!! It gets SOOO much harder once the kids can get around.
