Brothers
I photographed these two boys this weekend. The baby is 10 months old and did such a great job!! This age can be difficult because they realize that I'm a stranger and sometimes take awhile to warm up. But he was all smiles the entire time!

Mr. D
I took Mr. D's 6 month pictures today. He is just starting to learn to sit, so we had a few tough moments trying to get him to stay steady! My favorite pose of the bunch is the one with the white rug....there is nothing sweeter than a naked baby!! Enjoy your preview!

Valentine's pictures with my kids
I've spent the past few days working on pictures of my kids for Valentine's day cards and for Drew's 3 year pics. I'm so happy that the older they are getting , the more they are willing to participate and are excited about taking pictures. Drew actually told me he was excited to have his pictures taken...not sure if he was excited about that or the fact that he could have a giant heart shaped sucker at the end if he was good. Hey, I'm not above bribing my kids to get a few good pictures!
I also broke down and finally bought a pettiskirt. I've been thinking about getting one for a long time now...I'm so glad that I did. I can't wait to use it in future sessions!

Sneak Peak of the "R" Family
I had a session today with the "R" family. Dad is stationed in Germany and is home for the holidays! Little "A" didn't want to leave her Mom's side, but we managed to get a few of just her.

Reminder
This is just a friendly reminder that scanning my photographs or copying from the web is not allowed, and is also illegal. I realize that some people may not realize that what they are doing is illegal, but for many, they know it is and do it anyway. From here on out, you will receive a copyright notice with your print order. EVERYONE will get a copyright notice...so please do not think that I don't trust you when you see one with your order.
Digital files are available for purchase if you would rather print your photos yourself. I would be happy to recommend a great lab! The bad scans and poor color prints that you may do at home or at a "Wal-Mart" type lab are not a fair representation of my work. Would you trust Wal-Mart to do your job??
I've worked with many clients in getting them what they want so that both parties are happy. Just ask!!
Again, I think that most of my clients are honest people. I just wanted to get my message across to everyone...those who are honest, and those who are not so!

Preview of little "B"
I had a session with "B" a few days ago. She had the cutest little red Christmas Dress! She did really great. Most kids her age will shed a few tears at somepoint during the session, but not her!! Enjoy your preview...sorry it is a bit late.

Sneak Peak brother and sister
I had a session today of a brother and sister. Being that she missed her morning nap and our session was right in the middle of big brother's nap time, I think that they did remarkably well!!

Working on home studio
When we built this house, we had every intention in building a small home studio in the basement like we had in Cedar Rapids. Well, the cost of the house went over budget, and there wasn't any money left=( So, for the past 2 months, I've been setting up and tearing down after every session in our living room. It wasn't that big of a deal...just a pain in the butt!! Well, we got a bid on building the studio space that we couldn't pass up. Of course, the only thing in the basement that will be finished will be the studio, but that's okay!! Maybe we'll finish the rest of the basement next year. I'm so excited for it to be done. I can't believe how fast it is coming along. Framing and drywall are done. I'm hoping that it will be finished in a couple of weeks! I'll post pictures of the process in the next couple of days!

Senior
I did a last minute Senior session for a friend of my brothers. Leave it to a guy to wait one week before pictures are due to decide that he wants Senior pictures taken!! I think that most girls think about and plan their sessions for months before hand! It was to cold to go outside, so we did studio shots. We might go out later in the year when it is warm out!
Preschool picutres
I did a photography fundraiser for my kids preschool a few weeks ago. 30 kids...whew, that was tiring! I think that it went really well. I've gotten many comments that parents were happy with them because they weren't the traditional school pictures. I had a lot of fun doing it, and it was great to be able to give something back to the preschool! Here is just one of the many cuties I had the pleasure of photographing!

Christmas card shoot with my own kids!
I always dread this time of the year. Trying to take my own kids Christmas card pictures! I always end up frustrated, mad and upset. All I need is one good shot and we'll be done...but it usually takes a few days and a lot of crying (from all of us) to get even one good one!!! I think my children have PCS....Photographer's Child Syndrome! It is always so much easier dealing with other peoples kids than your own.

Sneak Peak!
Here is a sneak peak at baby D's session today. He wasn't to smiley this morning, but you don't have to be smiling to take cute pictures!

Sneak Peak
I photographed baby "K" a few days ago. She was a typical one year old and was on the move and keeping mom busy the entire session! She is the cutest little thing and looks just like her mom!

Impromtu Session
After preschool today, I thought that I'd take my daughter out for a little session while the leaves are still on the trees. Although she wasn't in the mood for picture taking, I still managed to get a few good ones from her! We found a cool place in Bettendorf. I think that we might try the little shopping area in LeClaire tomorrow if the weather holds out!
And this one I took in our backyard...unfortunatly, there will probably be houses back there next summer!

Few gifts are appriciated more than portraits...
Gift certificates are a great idea for family, friends, and coworkers. How many times has an envelope been passed around at work when someone is having a baby and everyone asks, "What should we buy?" A gift certificate is a great gift that will last a lifetime.
Gift certificates are available from $50 and up. It may be used towards the sitting fee, portrait packages, or ala carte prints.
Gift certificates will expire 1 year from date of purchase.
