I photographed Miss L earlier in the week. She just turned 2 years old. She came with her Grandma and Grandpa and you can tell how much she loves them. When her Grandpa left the room she was upset, but the second he came back in she got a huge smile on her face! I don't think she was to into having her pictures taken, but she didn't shed a tear the entire session...that is ALWAYS good!! Enjoy your sneak peak!

Merry Christmas and Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who made this past year so great! 2009 was my 2nd year in business (1st in the Quad Cities) and it was better than the last...what more could I ask for!
Here is our family Christmas card for this year. Of course my kids didn't want to cooperate at all. In most of the pictures they looked like they were in pain since their smile was SO forced. I ended up with just a few good ones to put on it though. I look forward to next year when I'll be able to add another little person in the Christmas card:)

Miss M {Quad Cities Baby Photographer}
I photographed 3 month old M this morning. She is apart of my Babies 1st Year Package. This is our first session together....unfortunately I don't think she was in the mood to pose and smile! When babies or children for that matter aren't perfect angels for the session parents ALWAYS ask me, "Are my kids the only ones who act like this". I promise you, NO! My own children can be little monsters when I try to get a quick session of them in! Children from newborn to probably 3 years old either want to do it or they don't. There is no forcing a 2 year old to sit still if they don't want to! We might be able to bribe them to sit for a few seconds for a cookie, but it is usually short lived. So, although we weren't able to bribe little M with a cookie, we still got some cute ones in! I look forward to our 6 month session when she will probably be sitting and full of those adorable toothless smiles:)

Answer to your question
As many of you already know, we are expecting baby #3 in May. I have gotten quite a few emails, especially from those who are apart of the Babies 1st Year Plan, asking if I will continue to work. I intend to continue working all the way through April. After the baby is born I will probably take 4-6 weeks off....but I will be coming back! I think that it just happens to work out that I have babies turning 9 months and a 1 year in April and July, so I don't think it is going to effect anyone who is apart of the plan. If this does effect you don't worry...just let me know and we'll figure something out!
The kids are excited about having a new baby. Drew thinks that we are going to go to "The Baby Store" and buy a baby. He asked if he could help pick it out! I think that Jordan is going to be a GREAT helper. The kids were already fighting this morning about who's room the baby gets to sleep in! I don't think they realize that babies are going to be up all night long:)
E Girls {Quad Cities Photographer}
I am so lucky to have gotten some of the most gorgeous clients! These girls are just so adorable. I think their parents are going to have to keep them locked up in about 10 years:)The biggest sister loved to be in front of the camera dancing, doing cartwheels and working on her modeling poses. The middle sister wasn't really in the mood to pose today and the newborn just wanted her mommy! I think we still got some good shots though! I hope to have your album to you by Friday night. Hopefully this will tide you over if I don't finish your album before we leave!

R Family Sneak Peak
I had a Holiday mini session yesterday with the R family. We lucked out and got a day when it didn't rain. I was a little worried that it would be muddy out there with all of the rain we had the past week or so..knowing my luck I would totally wipe out! Enjoy your sneak peak!

Happiest 6 month old...EVER! {Quad Cities Baby Photographer}
I did this little cutie pie's 6 month pictures today as part of the Babies 1st Year package. I can honestly say, I have never met a happier baby in my life. Not one tear the entire 1 hour session and was super smiley! This is going to be one of those sessions where I'm going to have to narrow down 50 super cute pictures to just to 15-20 pictures. If I show to many it just makes it way to hard for the parents to decide! Enjoy your sneak peak!

2 Year old "K" {Photographer Quad Cities}
I photographed almost 2 year old "K" yesterday afternoon. This little girl sure can run! I think half of my pictures of her were just a blur. Oh well, I needed the workout anyway! Enjoy your preview.

3 months old {Quad Cities Baby Photographer}
Last night baby H and his parents came over for the first session of his Babies 1st Year package. I did his newborn pictures in July. Isn't his hair just adorable! He did a fantastic job. It's funny how every 3 month old is so different when it comes to milestones. This little guy has no problem what so ever holding his head up and is already rolling over. I bet he'll be sitting on his own in a month!

Maternity {Quad Cities Photograher}
I had the opportunity to do a maternity session over the weekend. I did their daughters 2 year pictures in the spring and I will do the family pictures in a few weeks when their second daughter will make her arrival. The mom to be looks great! If I didn't know better I'd think she was only 6 or 7 months along. This is my first maternity session that I've ever done and look forward to more in the future.

Not so newlyweds {Quad Cities Photography}
Over the past couple of years I have gotten a few calls asking if I did weddings. My answer has always been no. First of all, I don't want that pressure. You have one chance to get it right, no do-overs! Secondly, having absolutely no experience in wedding photography, I don't want to be the one to ruin someones wedding pictures. I have always said that the only way I would ever even consider doing it was if the couple only had two options... it was going to be me or their uncle Bob with his Polaroid Insant camera taking pictures!
Well, I got a great opportunity to finally give it a chance. This couple actually got married over a year ago and due to some things out of their control were unable to have "real" wedding pictures. They didn't want anything elaborate...just a few pictures of them together.
I think if another similar situtation were to come my way where it was a VERY VERY small wedding or they wanted a few pictures after the fact I may do it. It's definetly a change of pace having the person you are taking pictures of actually do what you tell them to do!!

Miss G {Childrens Photographer Quad Cities}
I photographed this beauty this morning. I think that her Dad is going to have to keep her locked up in a few years! She is just adorable! The session didn't go necessarily how mom had planned...but 1 year olds have a mind of their own and you can't make them do something that they don't want to do! Regardless, I think we got a ton of cute shots...I don't think that his little girl can take a bad picture!

If you be good..... {Kids Photography Quad Cities}
I have quite a few sessions coming up using this location, so I thought I'd go out there again this morning to get few pictures! Of course I brought my fantastic model Drew with. It's amazing how well kids listen and do what you tell them to without whining and complaining with the promise of McDonald's afterwards if they do good! The entire time it was, "OK Mommy" or "sure Mommy". He was even picking out his own spots that he thought would be good! I'm all for bribing kids to get them to cooperate for pictures.
